Here are some general frequently asked questions, but if you have anything that’s not covered here or on this site then please do not hesitate to get in touch for a non-hassle, casual chat about how I can make your party what you want it to be.

 Q… When should I book my entertainment? 

A... Once you have decided who you want for your entertainment, you should book them as soon as you book your venue.  Like the venue, when we’re booked we are booked, unlike a cake maker who might be able to make 3 cakes for the same date, we can’t do 3 weddings on the same day!!!

Q… Do you require a deposit and if so how much?
A… Yes I do require a non refundable booking fee of £125. This guarantees that you have secured my services for your party.  You have a 7 day cooling of period in case you change your mind. 

Q… Why do you charge a booking fee?

A… I charge a booking fee for 2 reasons. 1 it gives you the peace of mind knowing that you have taken care of the entertainment and you will have written confirmation of this. 2 I put in a lot of time and effort before the event to make sure everything runs smoothly,  like home visits, venue visits, time sorting information and collecting songs etc.

Q… I don’t have a cheque book how I can make a payment?
A… You can use your credit / debit card through a secure Pay Pal gateway, send me a postal order or I can accept good old fashioned cash.  But obviously I would rather collect in person rather than you posting, with regards to cash. 

Q...The venue has asked for PLI insurance and PAT certificate
A...That is not a problem, I will show them all certificates before the day so there are no last minute hitches on the day. 

Q... Will you play the music that I want?
A...Yes. I ask for general musical guidelines along with specific genres, artists and songs, that you would like and not like, as well as asking for requests from the guests on the night to make sure everyone has a great night.

Q...Can I watch you work before I book? 

A... Unfortunately that is not always possible.  As I most of my work is private parties I have to ask the client for clearance, which I hope you understand. I will always endeavor to see if this is possible as I understand certain reservations people have about buying a service, and I have no problems of you watching me, but it is not always possible. 

Q… How will I know you will turn up?

A… I pride myself in the fact that I never not turned up when booked. I do not take a 2nd booking just because it pays more. This is my job, if you book me you get me. Your satisfaction and recommendation is so important to me. But in a worse case scenario I have quite a few connections to other quality dj’s through the National Association of Disc Jockeys to cover any event in the case of a unforeseen problem

Q…How long does it take you to set-up?

A.. Unfortunately there is no hard and fast set up time, as all sound and lighting equipment can vary from party to party depending on what the client wants etc. But please bear in mind; I need to get equipment in to the room before setting up so sometimes an early set-up is required. Which even thou this might incur a little extra charge it will mean, as soon as you are ready to party I am to.

Q... Do you only work on a Fri / Sat night?

A... No, this is my full time job, I will work where and when you require, Monday afternoon, Thursday evening, all day Saturday!!!
